This convenient, easy-to-use GFRC calculator:

  • Eliminates the need for math and formulas
  • Reduces costly mistakes
  • Saves time

GFRC mix formulas are public knowledge, but they are not easy to use. You have to fumble with math and formulas for your mist coat and your backer coat, causing confusion and mistakes. Using Integrity PowerPack simplifies things, but you will still have to do some complicated and confusing math, especially for the fiber calculation.

The calculator computes exactly how much of each ingredient, including fibers, and produces a printable batch report for you to use while mixing. All you do is enter the size of your project, and the calculator does the rest. You don't have to do any math, and you're assured of a precise mix every time.

The calculator also computes exactly how much each of your mix ingredients cost, helping you analyze your profitability. And, it automatically calculates the number of batches based on your gun or mixer size. You can save your batch report for each project so that you have a record of exactly what you did for that client. Both English and metric weights are provided.

This calculator uses Integrity PowerPack and Integrity UltraFibers. We also offer PowerBlend (just add water).

It comes as downloadable Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. It is compatible with Windows programs and can be used on a Mac with Microsoft Excel emulator.

Could you tell me the difference between the precast calculator and the gfrc one? I'm getting ready to order your diy admix kit with the fiber and flow enhancer. I'm currently using a premixed white countertop mix from Menards which is a home depot type store in the midwest. I cast 15lbs at a time into urethane rubber molds and make river rock type shapes. The mix I've been using is a white portland with what appears to be a type of play sand. The grain size is not uniform. I like this look, but they aren't going to continue making it. I'm sure the gfrc calculator would work I just wanted to know the difference. Thanks, Tom Tom Bloyd asked on September 17, 2024

The precast calculator creates non-fiber reinforced concrete that relies on steel reinforcement for strength. It's more old-school concrete, if you will. The precast mix calculator gives you an all-sand mix that is suited for hand packing, but it is not able to be made flowable. The other precast mix is a more conventional aggregate mix that is based on pea-gravel. This kind of concrete can be made flowable. But both MUST have steel reinforcement added to give slabs strength. It's a legacy calculator that few professionals use, since most now use GFRC.

The GFRC calculator is designed to create glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC). GFRC does not use steel reinforcement, but can have fiberglass rebar added in very highly stressed areas. Normally no additional reinforcement is required. All of our Integrity products are designed to be used in GFRC. GFRC can be made pourable, hand-packable, sprayable, and trowelable.

GFRC uses fine sand as the only aggregate. If you are not spraying it then it does not need to be uniform. Sand that is fine produces better strength and workability than coarse sand. Here's a picture of an ideal sand for GFRC: https://concretecountertopinstitute.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/silica-blasting-sand-for-GFRC.jpg

Hello there, i am about to start my own countertops project and if I succeed there are some other friends' countertops I have been asked to do. I believe if everything goes well I would consider it professionally:)) I have a couple of questions about the calculator and self-study training you included the price. In Turkey where i live, there is no chance to have access to premix products. So I bought CEM1 42,5 grey cement, silica sand(mash 40), acrylic polymer, plasticizer, AR Fiberglass, Does your calculator give me exact figures for each component? Regarding the study can I get it online? Will I have a chance to ask some questions to you via email, chat etc? All the best Evrim asked on July 5, 2022

Our GFRC mix calculator comes in both metric and imperial units. The GFRC Mix Calculators does give exact figures for each component. All of our self studies are available online.

Here is a direct link to ALL the information we have our our website in regards to calculators:

Does this include CTS calculator? Any chance I can get a discount? I paid for both the GFRC calculator and the GFRC training online, I'm also enrolled for the next hands on training class in October. Guest asked on April 27, 2021

Hi William,

Thank you for the question. We look forward to seeing you in October.

Yes, this mix calculator includes a formula/calculator for CTS Rapid Set Cement-All (a convenient blend of CSA cement and sand). If you are using straight CTS Rapid Set Cement (pure CSA cement), you can simply substitute it 100% for Portland.

The GFRC self-study training (Professional GFRC) does include this mix calculator, so there is no need to purchase both.

Hello I'm struggling to make concrete from scratch (e.g ratios of cement, sand, water .. etc rather than use a pre mix of all of the above). Will this calculator tell me exactly the ratios to use say if I went to a DIY store and bought each ingredient individually? Thanks, Chris Chris asked on February 20, 2021

Yes, all you do is enter the size of your project, and the calculator tells you exactly how much of each ingredient (sand, cement, water, etc.) to use. However, for a DIY project we do not recommend GFRC because there are speciality ingredients and equipment required. If you are looking for a DIY mix, please see https://concretecountertopinstitute.com/shop/diy-concrete-countertop-video-course/.
