Omega Concrete Countertop Sealer is designed to cure to a low sheen. It’s not quite matte/dead flat, but it’s duller than a satin or semi-gloss finish.
Increasing the sheen of the cured Omega finish is straightforward: simply apply either Satin or Glossy Ovation over it.
There are actually several reasons you might want to combine Omega and Ovation, in various combinations, and you can apply Ovation over fresh Omega or over fully cured Omega.
Note that by applying Ovation over Omega, you do lose heat resistance. Ovation is not heat resistant. Also, Ovation’s abrasion resistance is lower than Omega’s. For this reason, some people prefer to buff Omega to a higher sheen. This is a much more involved process, but this article describes the buffing process in detail.
