$399.00 $309.00

The Alpha AIR-830 polisher can grind, hone and polish equally well, and because it is small and lightweight, gives you the control you need to produce the best quality finish. It will handle light grinding from 4” metal bond turbo cups, 5” or 7″ resin diamond polishing pads and even diamond profile tools.

Please see the Full Details page for more information and air compressor requirements.

The Alpha AIR-830 pneumatic polisher is the air polisher to choose for power, production speed, versatility, durability and quality. Its powerful gearing, efficient turbine design and quality of manufacture mean it will power through thousands of square feet of polishing without needing much more than daily oiling.

Unlike electric polishers that can shock and will short out if they get wet, air polishers can literally run under water. Size matters and the Alpha is tiny. It is about half the size and weight of its electrical equivalent, making it easier to control with much less fatigue. It also can be used in smaller areas where a larger polisher just can’t fit. Finally, it’s the perfect tool for grinding, honing and polishing edges, because it gives you the control you need without any ill effect from getting soaked.

The Alpha AIR-830 is small and powerful and requires only clean air in sufficient pressure and quantity to run.

The Alpha requires a minimum 15 cubic feet per minute at 85 psi (425 liters per minute at 6.2 bar). This typically translates to a 5HP, 2 stage air compressor that can deliver this quantity of air continuously. We recommend 16 cfm (450 liters per minute) to account for losses due to fittings and hoses.

We strongly recommend using the largest diameter hoses available, and keep the length of hoses as short as practical to maximize air flow. Larger (1/2″ inner diameter ID) hoses have 1/4th the losses that a 3/8″ ID hose does for equal length hoses. Long runs of hose (50 feet or more) choke the output and make your compressor work harder. For longer runs, use larger diameter piping (not PVC pipe please!) to pipe air from your compressor to close to your polishing station. We recommend 3/4″ ID or larger for long runs. This means that more air flow will be delivered to your polisher.

While the Alpha comes with a side handle, it’s an unnecessary accessory which we recommend removing. The lack of a handle has absolutely no effect on the handling or control. See the video referenced below for more information.

The Alpha comes with a U.S. standard Industrial quick connect air fitting and a U.S. standard GHT (garden hose thread) female fitting for the water supply connection. These can easily be modified for metric use with an adapter.
